Dr. Ali Soofastaei is a global leader in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics to complex industrial challenges. He has led major projects across oil & gas (Shell), steel (Danieli), and mining (BHP, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Vale), driving digital transformation, value chain improvement, and innovation.

Founder of the Soofastaei Institute and Soofastaei-Educations, he develops integrated AI solutions, educational programs, and publications that enhance prediction, optimisation, and decision-making for multidimensional systems.

A Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research Fellow from the University of Queensland, Ali revolutionised the use of Deep Learning and AI in mining engineering to improve energy efficiency, cut operational costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Dr. Soofastaei is also an internationally renowned keynote speaker in advanced applied analytics and AI solutions, helping organisations improve safety, productivity, energy efficiency, and reduce total product costs.
